Sesame sold for Rs.60½ lakhs in Sivakasi
The Sesame auction was held at Sivagiri Regulation Hall. Farmers had brought 608 bags of sesame seeds for sale. In this, black sesame was auctioned at a minimum price of Rs.116.99 and a maximum price of Rs.150.99 per kg. Red sesame was auctioned at the lowest price of Rs.122.49 and the highest price of Rs.156.11 per kg. A total of 45 thousand 229 kg of sesame was sold for Rs.60 lakh 59 thousand 638.
