Despite the increase in raw material prices this year, city traders and home-based industrialists have cut their profit margins and continued to sell these items at the same prices as last year. The traders have taken this decision voluntarily to avoid additional financial burden on the consumers, which is being appreciated by the locals. With the arrival of winter, people prefer to add nutritious and healthy food to their diet. The demand for items like tulsi sani, singpak, khajurpak, daliya laddu and singni barfi, which provide warmth and nutrition to the body, increases every year. This year too, the sales of these items have increased in the markets of Savarkundla and surrounding areas.
