According to the information of the Agriculture Department, sesame cultivation in Darwa taluk alone is more than two thousand hectares. But as the market for sesame was not available, the farmers had to sell sesame in other districts. Sesame Production: Sesame opened the door of wealth... Now, however, only the Yavatmal Bazar Committee buys sesame seeds from the traders. This year, initially the price of sesame was up to 12 thousand rupees. In the subsequent period, it increased and the rate reached Rs.14500. In the meantime, the price of sesame was 13500 to 14000. According to the sources of the market committee, groundnut is being traded at an average of Rs 7050 per quintal and the price fluctuates slightly in unfavorable conditions.
